HELLO, I'M ABBIE
Hi & welcome. I'm Abbie, in my early thirties and from Lancashire. I have been in love with photography since the early Tumblr days (a true millennial) however at the end of 2025, I took a leap of faith and decided to make it a business venture. After spending years in a highly stressful and emotionally demanding career, I realised it was time to focus on something I loved and what a privilege it is that I already get to call this work.
On a more personal note, I am a wife, a mother to twin toddlers who rule my world, an avid kindle reader and a gym addict. A lover of all things girly, cups of tea (Yorkshire only), and always being the first to leave a party, usually with an Irish goodbye. Maybe old fashioned but I've never used Chat GPT so you best believe I wrote all this myself...
Photography has taught me to slow down, appreciate the micro-moments and notice the joy that exists in our day-to-day lives.
Most of us are not used to being in front of a camera so it can be nerve wracking. You might be worrying about whether you'll be caught at a bad angle or finding the whole thought of it a bit cringeworthy. These feelings are completely normal so making you feel comfortable is my number one priority.
Whether it’s your wedding day or a session with you and your family, my aim is put everyone at ease, make you laugh (try!) and give you direction where you want or need it. Alongside documentary style images, I also shoot with intention and direction to capture the personal, story-telling aspect of the time we spend together.
Part of the service that I offer is about getting to know you before we meet, understand your expectations, and align a creative vision so that you are left with images you'll be fumbling to share with everyone.
The boring (but important) bit
- I have an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Certificate given that I often work with children and potentially vulnerable adults.
- I am also fully insured and able to provide copies/evidence of both of these upon request.
- Your privacy and safety are of utmost importance to me. I do not share images online without explicit consent to do so and will always discuss/contract this with clients at the point of booking.
